Product Development Methodology
Custom Product development methodology ("Auto Pilot") has been developed based on proven processes and best practices applied for product development of various complexities. This methodology has been constantly improved to ensure that, this can be applied with minimum changes, which can be as low as 5 - 10% of effort to develop the methodology from scratch. Also, there is every possibility that the resulting procedures require more tuning till it reach its maturity.
The methodology has seven phases viz. Concept Definition, Concept Elaboration, Design & Development, Verification & Validation, Product Release, Project Closure and Product Maintenance. Across these phase the defined processes and process artifacts were grouped under various categories such as Project Management, Software Engineering, Verification & Validation, Project Oversight, Project Cut-over, and Project Support.
This methodology has been tested and proven to provide an assurance on success of the project. Also, the methodology has been benchmarked against the CMMI Level 3 requirements. The methodology comprises of 48 Procedures, 44 Templates, 14 Checklists, 19 Guidelines and 4 Standards.
